How do I contact you to get started?

The best way to contact me to get started is to check my online calendar and schedule a time that works for you to connect for an initial free consultation. Use the "Schedule" button at the top of this page, or anywhere on this website, to go to my online calendar.

  • The calendar will collect details about that meeting, including if you want to talk by phone or meet by zoom.
  • If none of the times offered through my online calendar work for you, contact me to discuss other options. See contact info below.
  • If you just have a quick question about my services, see contact info below.

Do I have to pay to meet with you the first time?

No, our first meeting is a free consultation.

  • If we decide to work together, I will set up a client portal and send you paperwork to sign before our first session outlining fees and policies.
  • The paperwork will allow you to review my fees and policies and agree to them by signing. After that, the fee will be collected after each session.

How will we have our meeting? Do I have to be on video?

No, it is fine to meet by phone, if that is your preference.

  • At this time I only meet with clients remotely by phone or video.
  • If you prefer to meet by video, it will take place through my SimplePractice secure online tele-health platform, which is very similar to Zoom.
  • The SimplePractice video platform is HIPAA compliant and is a great way to have our remote sessions.
  • If you are using a cell phone or tablet, you will want to download the SimplePractice tele-health app.
  • If you are using your computer, Chrome tends to be the best browser.
  • For the most confidential video experience, be sure you have a quiet space where you can focus on our conversation without external distractions.

Is the information I provide kept safe and confidential?

Yes, I use the secure SimplePractice platform to manage my practice.

    SimplePractice provides a client portal where you will be able to check your calendar, schedule an appointment, join our tele-health meeting, pay your bill and get a copy of your invoice

How do I pay for my session?

You can pay by debit or credit card through the secure SimplePractice platform.

  • We will discuss payment options in our initial free consultation to make sure it works for you.
  • Once your client portal on SimplePractice is set up, you can enroll in autopay if desired or indicate how you want to pay per session.

What are your office hours?

My main office hours are Tues-Wed-Thurs afternoons and early evenings, Mountain Time.

    If these times do not work for you, contact me to discuss what other options might be possible.

Do you take insurance?

I currently only accept private pay.

    I am working on options to accept insurance and Medicare reimbursement.

Do you do couples counseling?

I work with individuals only and can make a referral for couples therapy if needed

 

Video Counseling

I am currently offering all sessions remotely from my home office through a secure online video platform.

Phone Counseling

If you are more comfortable meeting by phone we can connect via my secure business phone line.

Email & Text Support

We can make arrangements for you to have email and/or text support between sessions as needed.
